The application of RFID to student attendance monitoring as developed and deployed in this study is capable of eliminating time wasted during manual collection of attendance.Main objective of this paper is to track the student in campus and enhance attendance monitoring system. The proposed system consists of RFID tag and reader. RFID readers would be installed at various locations in campus and also in classes.With the help of the system RFID and the Internet of Things, the students monitoring will be easy to access; through the accuracy and reliability of the data, the system gives accurate information to the parents.
The proposed system focuses on an RFID-based attendance monitoring system that uses RFID technology in connection with a programmable logic circuit (such as an Arduino) to address the problems that traditional paper and contact-based attendance systems experience. The prototype is made with Arduino Uno and an RFID scanner; students’ attendance will be registered by tapping it on the device and sending an SMS directly to the parents. The parents then can easily monitor their children by receiving SMS from RFID monitoring attendance. This study aims to provide a new model for conducting of presence, a presence system that uses RFID technology. RFID will utilize sensors to read data. The use of RFID is to facilitate lecturers and students in monitoring class attendance.The system is designed to implement an attendance management system based on RFID and fingerprint reader which students need to use their student identification card ID and their finger ID to success the attendance where only authentic student can .
